Maintaining independence
We understand that maintaining routines and a sense of purpose is vital for an older person’s wellbeing and we use positive risk-taking to promote freedom and choice. That's why we support your loved one to live as independently as possible. If your loved one visits local places of worship, or attends a group in the community, we’ll support them to continue to do this – we also have a weekly Church of England service for those that cannot or do not wish to attend in person, and can of course arrange visits of other denominations too. Residents are also welcome to help out around the home if that’s something they would enjoy, and in warmer months tending the garden at the home is a popular activity that many residents and the team enjoy together.
