Creating meaningful meals
Join our team and you'll have the chance to get creative in the kitchen while cooking up nutritious, well-balanced meals that have a direct impact on residents’ health and wellbeing.
Many catering colleagues join us from restaurants or hotels where they’re used to working long hours late into the night. In a care home, you’ll work more sociable hours, and you’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships by getting to know residents and their tastes and preferences. This is a role where you can really make a difference.
Looking to progress in your career? Our Chef Academy is designed to support individuals in our hospitality teams to become the future kitchen chefs and leaders within Care UK.
Whatever your role, we’ll give you the support you need to do your job well and build a career to be proud of – whether you want to gain recognised qualifications or just do a great job.
Through our Learning Academy, we’ll provide you with high-quality training tailored to your role. And, because we want you to have a great future at Care UK, we can offer you exciting career paths.
We offer a range of apprenticeship programmes for Home Support team members across various roles, including: activities, chefs and kitchen assistants, receptionists and administrators, maintenance and facilities, laundry and domestic. You can gain an Apprenticeship in Maintenance, Customer Service, Hospitality (professional cookery and housekeeping), Business Administration or Management. From there, you could go further still, training as a qualified carer or becoming a manager.
When you join Care UK, you become part of a forward-looking, growing care provider. We'll support your growth with quality training and give you the opportunity to progress in your career.
