Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I started my career in care in 2011 and have worked my way up to General Manager. Overseeing the smooth running of Llys Cyncoed keeps me busy, and you definitely need to multitask and be flexible.

One of my favourite parts of the day is the time I spend with residents. I always make sure to join in the daily anagrams challenge. As well as testing my word-puzzle skills, interacting with residents helps me better understand the support they need.

I have a level five diploma in leadership for health and social care services, and learning and development is hugely important to me. In particular, I am keen to nurture colleagues who want to progress their careers. Supporting achievements means we’re always striving to do our best for each other and residents.

As a mum of two, I am equally busy outside of work. I enjoy fun activities with my children and when I can, take walks along the beach and in forests.
